Desktop Light Room 6.0 will not open

I have windows 10 two days ago Light room 6.0 worked fine.  Today it appears to open then just closes out and will not load.   how do i fix this?

      Search the drive where Lr 6 is installed for a .lock file. When you find it, delete it ONLY. 

      The .lock file is created when Lr opens and is normally deleted when Lr. exits. If Lr does not exit properly, as in a computer crash, the lock file does not get deleted. The next time you try to open Lr, it sees the lock file and does exactly what you describe.
