Question

Develop module sometimes shows previous photo when using lens corrections (Canon R5 + RF 24-105 F4)

Description of Issue:
In the Develop module, when viewing photos imported from a Canon R5 with the RF 24-105 F4 lens, sometimes when moving from one photo to the next, Lightroom Classic continues to display the previous photo. The issue disappears if I disable both Enable Profile Corrections and Remove Chromatic Aberration for all photos.

Lightroom Classic Version: 15.3.1

OS Version: macOS 26, Version 26.5.1 (25F80)
MacBook Pro M1 Max, 32 GB RAM

Camera Model: Canon EOS R5
Lens: Canon RF 24-105mm F4

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import a series of photos shot with a Canon EOS R5 and the RF 24-105mm F4 lens into Lightroom Classic.
2. In the Develop module, make sure that the Lens Corrections panel has "Enable Profile Corrections" turned on and "Remove Chromatic Aberration" enabled for these photos.
3. In the Develop module, move through the photos one by one using the arrow keys or by clicking on the next thumbnail in the filmstrip.
4. Scroll slowly through the sequence until the issue occurs.

Expected Result:
Each time I move to the next photo in the Develop module, Lightroom Classic should render and display the correct current image, with lens corrections applied.

Actual Result:
Occasionally, when moving to the next photo, the Develop module continues to display the previous photo instead of the selected one. Disabling lens profile corrections and chromatic aberration corrections on all photos makes the problem disappear.

Additional Notes:
- The issue affects Canon R5 raw files with an RF lens profile applied (RF 24-105mm F4).
- The problem appears only in the Develop module preview, not in the Library grid/filmstrip thumbnails.
- Reproduced on macOS 26.5.1 on an M1 Max MacBook Pro with 32 GB of RAM.

Update: The problem occurs even with lens correction and chromatic aberration disabled. I can temporarily resolve the issue by deleting the *Previews.lrdata file.

Hi @Antonio24716048g907 , thanks for the update! We will keep testing on our end. Would you be able to send a screen recording of what you’re seeing as well? Thanks! ^CH
