Develop tab missing photos

Recently, some of my images in the develope tab dont work. 
The image in navigator shows up, but it is resized and looks squished. 
And the image itself just shows a tiny little square box. 

In the library tab i can view them, but i cant actually edit them. 
The metadata also does not show all of the information. 

Has anybody else had this issue and know how to fix this?
