DNG + JPG Library Display Issues in LR

Hello.  Something has been bugging me for a while and I'm hoping someone can help.  When I shoot in DNG + JPG (B/W), import into LR, all the image thumbnails in the LR library module in the grid are shown in B&W.  The DNG's should be color and the JPGs in B&W.  The only way I can work around this is to open a DNG file in Develop module and then it appears in color (and the thumbnail in the Library module changes to color).  How can I fix this?  Thanks in advance!
