Question

Do I need the Lightroom Library.lrlibrary folder in LR Classic

I recently did a clean install of LR Classic on a new computer.  Along the way, I somehow managed to install LR CC by mistake.  Once I realized I'd done so, I deleted it.

I now have a Lightroom Library.lrlibrary folder in my Pictures folder on my Mac.  The folder contains four subfolders including "users,""TemporaryEdits,""Profiles," and one with a name that contains a set of letters and numbers.  I read somewhere that a .lrlibrary file is used by LR CC but not by LR Classic.  However, I haven't found anything that talks about an entire folder identified as above.

Do I need this folder and its contents or an I trash it?  If I need it, an I move it to within another folder just to keep my folder hierarchy more to my liking?

Lightroom library.lrlibrary is indeed the cache used by Lightroom CC. It is not used by Lightroom Classic CC, so you can trash it. It doesn’t matter if it shows as a folder or a file.
