Question

Do I need to subscribe or can I just purchase Lightroom Classic?

I signed up for the Lightroom photography bundle ($9.99/month) but I don't actually want to use the cloud as I don't have the connection or data for it. It states "Lightroom Classic" as one of the options included with the bundle, but whenever I search to install it it has a "Buy" button and when clicked on it takes me back to the Subscribe page for the Lightroom bundle..

I also have an older Lightroom Classic library I'd like to import.

How can I just buy and install Classic? Do I have to be signed up for a subscription if I don't want to use the cloud? Thanks in advance for the help.

Lightroom Classic does not use the cloud. It's only installed (and your license is checked) through the cloud, but it runs locally and your images are stored locally. You can enable sync for one catalog and sync certain images to the cloud which will then become available in the cloud ecosystem (so you can see and edit them on your iPhone or iPad, for example), but that is an option that you do not have to use.

Lightroom isn't available as a box version. You have to buy a subscription like the photography bundle.

You can use LR Classic complete on you local machine. There's no necessary to use the cloud. You can you the cloud, but you don't must use it.

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 6 - Topaz Photo AI

Thank you for the help.

Unfortunate you can't just purchase the product but at the same time I
guess it's constantly being updated so it works out.
