Do I need Windows 10 for Lightroom?

I wanted to get Lightroom but it says I don't have the specs.  I'm running Win 7.1 Ultimate 64 bit with 8 gigs of ram, and an i5 3300z processor.  I suspect my operating system is the issue as it lists DirectX12 as required and Win 7 doesn't support DirectX12.  Is there anyway around this or am I forced to upgrade to win10 . . .

That depends on which version of Lightroom you are talking about. Lightroom Classic CC will run on your computer. The new Lightroom CC, the one that is cloud centric, requires Windows 10.
