Does anyone else keep having issues with the newest update causing your external to force eject?

If I am running Aftershoot and editing in there no prob, same with PS.. but when LR is on for more than 10 it keeps selecting my 6 MONTH OLD SSD! I changed cables, slots, etc.. reverted back one version to see if it helps. I will be super upset if LR crashes my external… I clearly need to do a backup
