Does Lightroom CC 2015.4 still work?

My Lightroom cc 2015.4 does not open. It just quits unexpectedly. I am using a 2015 Mac with OS X El Capitan. I have not tried to open it for a couple of years, but I have photos in there I want to access. 

any tips for opening app or accessing photos?

A couple of thoughts-

CC2015.4 is very old and almost certainly not compatible with 64bit operating systems as is Catalina. It may 'run if previously installed, but you certainly cannot install it anew in Catalina.

CC2015 is the name for the subscription version of Lightroom v6 (aka Lr 6 perpetual) . Do you pay a subscription monthly?

Photos are not "in there". Any Lightroom catalog does not contain your image files. Your files exist where you store them on hard-drives. You would only need the Lightroom App to see any editing you made in the catalog.

Lightroom 6 End of Support

To upgrade to the latest subscription version (now known as Lightroom-Classic v13) in the Photography plan you would also need an OS upgrade to MacOS Monterey (version 12.0) or later.
