Does Lightroom in the Cloud still not support keywording import and heirarchy?

I have 20k images keworded painstakingly by plant and animal species as I am a wildlife and nature photographer and blogger. Being able to view my folder structure (location) and heirarchical keywords to find species x are critical. Till now have been using desktop with a supported keyword heirachy. Just attempted to use cloud for first time an had a shock when no folder or keywords apparead in my test. It didn;t i nthe slightest occur to me these might not be there!

Please tell me reintroducing these feature to the cloud option is on the product roadmap! otherwise What on earth am I paying my subscription for exactly? There are plenty of good raw editors out there. Its the keywording that provides the product value.

And believe me the answer is not AI...

Adobe never lets us know in advance what “is on the product roadmap”. Sometimes (rarely, but it does happen) they let us know new features a week or two before a new release is coming, but it doesn’t sound like that is what you are asking for.

OK that's quite shocking. But useful to know. Thank you.

Keywords now do sync (after ten years), but only as flat keywords. No hierarchy in the cloud. You do have to enable it if you want to use it. Never say never, but I’m pretty sure keyword hierarchy in the cloud is not on the roadmap right now.

Folders is another matter entirely. Lightroom Classic folders are a hierarchy on your local disk. The cloud does not have such folders. What is called a ‘folder’ in Lightroom cloud, is what is called a ‘collection set’ in Lightroom Classic. It’s a hierarchy for collections/albums, not for physical storage. Unfortunately this also does not sync and in this case I have no idea why.
