Downloading Lightroom pictures to an iPad

I'd like to avoid using Apple's Photos program and download folders from LR to my iPad.  Any way I can do that?

    What is the exact version of LR you are using. If LR CC 2015.x then you can use LR Mobile on your iPad. If LR 6 or an earlier version of LR, No CC subscription, then all you can do is Copy the Edited and Exported versions from the Mac drive to the iPad storage. But then you will probably have to use the built in photo app on the iPad to view them.
