Drag and Drop in Lightroom Classic 8.4

I see several Drag and Drop problems in the community forums but didn't see one for Lightroom. I cannot drag and drop in Lightroom. I'm moving photos to another folder and have been doing this for several years.  It worked this afternoon and now it doesn't work at all.  I'm using Windows 10 and I have the Lightroom CC 8.4 version. I have shut Lightroom down several times but it still doesn't work.

Glad it's working now. Sometimes it takes several magic incantations.

Have you tried rebooting your computer?  Sometimes bad behavior in LR is fixed by rebooting, rather than just restarting LR.

Try resetting preferences by holding down Alt + Shift rather than moving Preferences.agprefs to another folder. When there isn't an .agprefs file, LR will read any older preferences file from a previous version that's present, whereas Alt + Shift doesn't.

If the problem continues, I suggest you make a screen recording and post a bug report in the official Adobe feedback forum, where Adobe wants all bug reports and feature suggestions:

https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/categories/photoshop_family_photoshop_lightroom .

Since this problem isn't easily reproducible (yet), a screen recording could give Adobe engineers important clues as to what might be going wrong.  Be sure to include the first ten lines of the menu command Help > System Info.  Provide all the details, rather than linking back to this thread -- experience shows that Adobe developers tend not follow the links.

Ok, it's working!

I removed the file Preferences.agprefs again and did the reboot of my computer. After that I started LR CC with ALT+SHIFT pressing after the icon doubel click. Before LR appear I seen the question box for reseting the preferences. I selected 'YES' and got the Drag & Drop functionality back.

Thank you.

Some things to try:

- Remember to drag from the center of the thumbnails, not the edges.

- Reboot your computer.

- Reset LR's preferences: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/

If that doesn't help, please provide more details about what you're trying and observing. A screen recording would be best -- upload it to Dropbox or similar and post the sharing link here.

I have the same problem with lightroom classis 8.4.1. I also can not Drag & Drop imported images to a prefered collection. Also I moved the Preferences.agprefs file to another directory, doing restart of lightrom classic and so on. But the Drag & Drop functionality don't come back.

I use LR classis sinze 2 year. Please don't ask where I click the images ...

Do anybody can help me?
