Duplicate Keywords in Heirarchy

My Keyword heirarchy is a bit of a mess.   I have a lot of duplicate keywords assigned to different levels of the heirarchy.   For Example I may have owl as a keyword under animals but also as a keyword under birds which might be under fauna.  So if I select owl under one parent I get a different result than if I select owl under a different parent.   How can I clean up my Keyword list.   I can find duplicates by exporting the list to a CSV but that list does not show the parent keywords.  is there a way to export the list to find all dupes and the associated parent keywords?

In the Library module, open the keyword list.  At the top is an item "Filter keywords".  You can input something like "Owl" and it will show any keyword that has Owl in it.  You can then decide which of the Owl keyword entries you want to keep.  For all the others, use the right arrow next to the keyword to show all the files that have that version of Owl keyword.  Then select all those files and in the keyword list click the box next to the Owl entry you want to keep so that keyword is applied to all of the files.  Then you can delete the Owl keyword you want to get rid of by right-clicking it and select "Delete".  Once you have done this for all the files that have different versions of the Owl keyword, they should all have the correct version applied and all the other versions should be deleted.
