Dust Remove does not work with Development-Synchronisation (Batch-Modus)

For me it seems that “Dust Remove” does not work with Development-Synchronisation (Batch-Modus).

The "Dust"-checkbox under "Remove" in the copy settings dialog is selected but the dust-spots are not removes from the raws in the batch.
If I go into development-”Remove” of a picture and deselect and select the “Dust”-checkbox the it works. This step I have to do for each raw-pic of the stack instead of doing this in synchronisation automatically.

So is this “as designed” or is it a bug ?

Do you see the yellow ‘Update AI Settings needed’ button in the upper right corner of the develop module? Dust removal uses AI to detect the dust, and that needs to be done for each image separately. For example: dust in the upper right corner of image 13 will not have been detected in the same area of image 12. I can’t check if Lightroom Classic does this automatically on my system (typing this on my iPad), but often synced settings do indeed require a manual update.

    Hallo,
ok, I understand the AI-functionallity in this situation.

So this was a misunderstanding from my side.
    The issue can be closed.

    Hi @Wilfried32290278joof

Thanks for reaching out. Could you share a short screen recording of the issue? That would make it much easier to see what’s happening.

    Also, please include:

    • Your OS (Windows/macOS)
    • The exact version of Lightroom Classic you’re using

That should help pinpoint whether this is expected behavior or a bug.

    Hallo,

    yes these are my steps:

1.) there is a stack of 2 raws. (for example).

2.) "Dust"-checkbox under "Remove" is selected on the first raw-pic.

3.) now the synchonisation-buttom is pressed.
4.) the copy-select-window opens and "Dust"-checkbox under "Remove" is selected

5.) after the sync-function is finished, the remove-dust is copied to all raws in the stack
6.) but when opening the raws from the stack, the remove-dust-function worked not properly. in some raw-files not all dust-points are removed is good as in the first raw-file.
