Edit in PS (long delay)

Hello everyone. I am using Lightroom Classic 12.4 & Photoshop 25.0.0 on a Windows 11 machine. I have been having problems in the last few weeks when I want to Edit a LR image in Photoshop. In the past when I would select edit in PS, it would take maybe 5-10 seconds to send the image over for me to edit. Lately it takes almost 2 minutes and then I get the error message, "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop 2024 could not be launched" but the photo ends up opening fine in Photoshop. I can then edit it and save it like normal.... I am not new to either program, been using both forever. 

 

Has anyone had this issue or know of a fix?

    Might be an issue with the PS preference file. And you might need to reset it. Instructions somewhere at Adobe.

    GoldingD, I tried that but the issue persists. Should I try rolling back to an older version of PS?

    I might suggest upgrading Lightroom-Classic to v13.0.1  and then upgrading Photoshop to v25.1

    This will get LrC and Ps on 'par' for compatibility.
