edit select images

This is about editing only a select number of images from my card.  Let's say I have 100 photos on my card, but I only have time to edit 60 of them. After highlighting those 60, checking the box, selecting my Destination, Importing, and then editing those 60 images, I discover I have more time to spend on editing. Are those 40 remaing photos still found in the Library, or if not, where are they?

Hi again DClark. I might have forgotten to add a detail here. After highlighting my images I move to the bottom  right of the right panel and click on that "Import" button. Also, like I mentioned before, are you suggesting to remove and again reinserting my card?  TY

If your memory card is in the card reader, in the Library module click on "Import..." in the lower left panel.  That will initiate the process.
I am guessing you have LrC set up to automatically detect when a memory card is loaded into the card reader.  If so, removing the memory card and reinserting it in the card reader will also initiate the process, and is equivalent to clicking "Import..." in the lower left panel.
I think either way should work.

Your description indicates you downloaded 60 images from the memory card to a destination folder and imported them into LrC.  In that case the other 40 remain on the memory card.

Hi DClark ... yes I know they are still on the card, but, how do I get to them using the available selections from LrC. Unless I missed something it seems like options seen on the left panel won't show my remaing images. Are you suggesting I remove and reinsert my card?

Go throught the same process as before.  This time check the other 40 images.
