This was happening with Lightroom Classic 12 but is still there with 13.2 on Mac OS 12.7.2

Close Lightroom Classic.

Open Lightroom Classic

Click on any metadata field to put it into edit mode

Type one character (doesn't matter which character)

Field immediately goes out of edit mode.

Next time you try to edit a metadata field it works as it should.

Seems a MacOS 12 issue. Can't you upgrade MacOS?

I cannot upgrade the MacOS.  I'm on the maximum for my Mac Mini.

Further, that should not be the solution to fixing a bug in Lightroom.  In fact, Lightroom forced me to upgrade to MacOS 12 in the first place and required me to upgrade a bunch of other apps.

I did not say that Adobe does not have to fix this because upgrading MacOS fixes it already.  But if you could upgrade MacOS, then that is definitely a faster solution than waiting for Adobe's fix...
