Should your own id in the Lightroom Email Acount Manager be showing as Validated or Unvalidated, --before taking any action?

Mine is sitting there showing Unvalidated and wonder what this means, as assuming it should show as Validated.

I use LR Classic 9.1

It should show validated if you want to use this function. You need to validate it - meaning your Lightroom can recognise your email address. If you use Gmail, you'll have a small problem. As Lightroom is not Google app, Google considers this to be an insecure app, so you'll have to go into your security settings in Google and change that to allow other apps to send emails. I tend to use function quite a lot.
