Enhance dialog reports 20 minutes to perform the task

Hi everybody...

Ive just updated LrC to the latest version, the version with Denoise AI. When I try to use the Denoise AI feature, it tells me that it will take 20 minutes to perform the task!!

I'm using Windows 10 with 32gig of Ram, plenty of Disk Space and my images are taken on a Sony A7rii.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One additional observation:

There is a discrepancy in the first-launch estimating. It will often report a large number of minutes to perform the first Enhance. Normally enhancing a second file will correct the time estimate. In a case with a large time value being reported you should.

  1. Enhance the first file and note the time it takes compared to the estimate.
  2. Repeat for second file and note the time it takes compared to the estimage.
    Is the difference vastly different between step 1 and 2?

There are a lot of posts about this already - RAM and disk space don't much matter, but you need a beefy GPU with at least 8gb of memory, and > 2000 ops/sec capability. 

 

Your reported tinings suggest a lack thereof in your machine...

    This new noise reduction tool needs very good graphics capabilities (GPU). What is yours ?
