Error message when using plug-in

When using the DXO plug in on my MacBook Pro to process a photo, this message pops up "An internal error has occured. ?:0: attempt to indexfield 'rootFile' ( nil value). " What does this mean and how can the plug-in be fixed? DXO was working fine just 2 days ago. Thanks for your help

Does this happen on every image or just this one? Where are your images stored (local or external drive)? Are you working with Smart Previews? If your files are local and it happens on every image try removing and readding the plugin.
