error opening lighroomC

my computer keeps showing error is preventing from opening lightroom catolog i did the instructions on how to possibly fix the issue and when i did that it completely deled the app of my desktop and now i have no idea how to get it back or how to get it to quit saying error.  i need help asap!

Do you mean that Lightroom-Classic is no longer installed?

Does LrC show in the CC Desktop App with an (Open) button?

Show us a screen-clip of the error message.

And what "instructions" did you follow?

 

Two problems can prevent a Catalog from 'opening'

1) The Catalog is corrupt for some reason and, if a 'Fix' does not work, the only recourse is to restore from a Catalog backup.  RESTORE A CATALOG FROM BACKUP

2) When last used the Catalog did not close correctly and caused a .LOCK file to remain in existence and so preventing the Catalog opening again. LOCK FILE DELETION
