Error when opening Lightroom 4

Hello,

I've recently bough a 2019 MacBook Pro and I installed Lightroom 4. Upon installation the application opened successfully and I assumed everything was OK.

Today I've tried to use the application and when I try to open it I'm now getting an error which says the following;

"Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4" will damage your computer. You should move it to the Bin.

I'm unable to do anything other than close this message and Lightroom no longer works.

Has anyone come across this issue before?

You don't say what the version NUMBER of your operating system is, but new Mac operating systems don't get along with old versions of Lightroom. If that is the case, that you have a new operating system, your only choice (as far as I know) is to subscribe to Lightroom Classic, which will enable you to continue to use Lightroom and all the word you have in Lightroom 4 will be preserved and accessible.

Hello,

Its Catalina 10.15.2

I was afraid it might be something to do with it being a 32bit app but the message is different to what I got with Photoshop with was also a 32bit app which no longer works either 😞

thank you for your help
