I need help with my LrC, I have a space problem on my IMac computer that did not happen before, apparently LrC is generating a copy of my works and is saving it in my documents, although I work it from an external memory of 5T, these are generated in my documents although computer (or so I think it is happening) which makes it slower and generates a message of insufficient space.

Most likely what is happening is that the previews that LrC creates are taking up space, and each new photos are imported, more previews are needed so more space is taken up. You can modify how much space the previews take up via Catalog Settings->Previews and set LrC to use smaller previews, lower quality previews and also Automatically Discard 1:1 previews in a shorter period of time. (However, doing this will cause additional slowness in the Library module).

Also each time you import photos, the catalog file should get a little larger.

LrC does not generate copies unless you specify this at Import, and even then that would not affect your hard disk unless the photos were on this hard disk before import, and the copy is on this hard disk after export (in which case, you are not working from the external 5TB drive).
