Exclude Camera Roll from LR Mobile Sync

Is there anyway to get LR Mobile to only sync the photos taken in the Lightroom iPhone app? I thought that was the way it worked, but it syncs everything from the Camera Roll also. Since LR Photos do NOT go into Camera Roll, I don't see anyway to get them into LRCC other than sync. But, I don't want every picture I take to be synced to LRCC. I take pictures of notes, signs, labels. and all sorts of casual stuff that I then have to delete from LRCC, my iPhone, Google Photos, iCloud, ​ad infinitem.​ If this is the way LR Mobile sync is supposed to work, it is a poorly thought out feature.
