Question

Export as Jpeg exports original discarding edits

LIghtroom Classic 13.1 MacOS 14.3.1

I understand that exporting to hard drive as .jpg rather than orginal is supposed to export the edited version.  That's not happening.  I am getting the original, unmodified version.  Tried exporting as a .png.  Same thing - get the original.

Appreciate any suggestions you might have.

Sometimes looks can be deceiving. If you export an image in a certain color space, and then view it in an app that does not support color management, then you may think that the export discarded your edits because the app does not show the same colors that Lightroom shows. It is highly unlikely that Lightroom Classic exports to jpeg and png and discards the edits. Thousands of Lightroom Classic users export images every single day, so a bug like that would be found and reported in the first 24 hours after the release of the bugged version. Make a truely obvious edit, such as changing to B&W. Then try again.

That was it!  Changed the color space and now it works.

In the Export dialog box, set Image Format to JPG instead of Original
