Export folder not writable Lighroom

I've installed icedrive on my windows machines and mounted the drive. When I want to export my jpeg files from LR to my icedrive, I get the message : "the folder is not writable". This is strange because I can write files from different drives to the mounted icedrive and also exporting from PS to my icedrive works flawless.

I had a 1 hour remote session with Adobe and they could not fix it so I guess I hav to find another solution (cloud storage).

Okay, I've cancelled icedrive and switched to another cloud service. Problem solved 🙂

Icedrive is a cloud storage solution right? Many of these use hacks to make the operating system see the cloud storage as a normal drive and in general these don't work well with Lightroom Classic which needs real access to the images. This is especially true if the cloud services don't mirror the cloud drive completely with actual local storage.

Yes, correct. But LR doesn't need real access to the files, it just needs to (dumb) export it to this specific place. It's not rocket science.. PS can write to it so why not LR?

Probably because there's an option in the Export dialog to import the exported file. (Add to this catalog)

With that option checked, LR would need real access to the file.

Does the export from PS go the the exact same folder as Lightroom Classic is trying to write to? If no, then you don't have the proper permissions on the folder LrC is trying to write to — note: the permissions on the drive are irrelevant, you need to change the permissions on that folder to allow write permission.

Yes, with Photoshop I can write to the exact same folder without an error.
