Export full size of image converted from horizontal to vertical

Hi,

 

I have a little issue in lightroom classic. I have a need to sometime convert landscape to portrait on shots with a need to export with a minimum of 4800 pixels on the longest edge. When I turn it into portrait in lightroom it says dimensions of 6720x4480  but when exporting it on full size it comes out to 2881x4321 which means that instead of exporting the whole batch on full size I have to individually go in and enhance the once I ve converted to vertical ones. Anyone with a clue to why this happens?

To rephrase a bit as to what I am really asking is that why isnt Lightroom showing the correct pixel dimensions after I change it from horizontal to vertical. It just shows the same dimensions as if the photo is still in landscape mode but inverted numbers which obviously isnt the case. I guess I could just look the photos and wherever I see the larger pixel number first I know it is one that I have converted to vertical.

I'm not sure I understand your problem. How do you 'convert' the image from landscape to portrait? By cropping it I assume? If you original photo is 6720x4480 and you crop it to get a vertical picture, then this vertical image size would become 4480x2986 pixels. You cannot export that and get 4800 pixels at the longest side, unless you let Lightroom upsize it. There is a setting in the export dialog that tells Lightroom not to upsize, so make sure that isn't checked.
