Export idea, please help!

Hi there! I hope someone can give me an idea about lightroom and export catalogs. Im a wedding photographer and during the wedding day I am able to edit the photos during the wedding, with a laptop. I am however not able to finish all the editing and need to finish at home, but not in my laptop. I want to export the editing and catalog to the same external drive, and have them (previews, editing done) in the Mac so I can restart from where I stoped. What is the best way to export the catalog?

Select the folders or photos from the day, and File > Export as Catalog. Ensure you select Include Negatives, and Previews, and target the external drive. This outputs a folder containing everything you've done - photos, catalogue. On the Mac, you can either double click that catalogue or use File > Import as Catalog to bring the work into your main catalogue.
