export of grouped images does not function properly

Hello,

when I try to export images which are grouped in a stack, Lr exports just exports the top image, but not all images contained within the stack. When the stack is flattened and all images are marked, the export function runs as expected.

This happens to the most recent version of LightRoom CC 2015.12, don't know if older versions are also affected. My OS is Mac OSx 10.12.6 on a late 2013 Macbook pro.

Does anyone else have the same issue or is it related to my system only ?

Br Robert

I recommend you post a feature request in the official Adobe feedback forum, where Adobe wants all feedback provided: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/categories/photoshop_family_photoshop_lightroom . This forum is primarily a user-to-user forum in which Adobe product developers rarely participate.

When a stack is collapsed, almost all LR commands operate on just the top photo of the stack (*).  If you want a command (e.g. Export) to operate on all the photos in a stack, you must expand it first and then select all the photos in the stack.  (LR has always operated this way.)

Some tips for making that process go faster:

- You can expand all the stacks currently visible in Library grid view by doing Photo > Stacking > Expand All Stacks.

- If you shift-click on the stacking badge in the upper-left corner of a thumbnail:

that will expand the stack and select all the photos in it.

--------

(*) One exception is the Photo > Photo Merge command, which uses all the photos in a collapsed stack. Many people have wished that LR would add a preference setting that caused more commands to act that way.

Thank you for your answer !

This is what I exactly to bypass the problem, but to me it makes no sense. When using a function like export on a stack, it makes sense to have all images of the whole stack included and not the first one.

This should be changed by Adobe.
