Export problems/Library incorrectly showing new photo

Having Export and Sync problems since installing Classic (running Win 10). In Library mode, I can create sub folders (such as "Imports") under a main folder. I can move photos from the main folder into the subfolder. All good and confirmed through windows Explorer. If I make adjustments to a photo in the Imports folder then choose Export, and choose the main folder to export to, LR correctly exports the adjusted photo to the main directory as confirmed by going into windows Explorer and seeing the original in Imports and the modified in the main folder.  However, LR library shows the modified photo in Imports and not in the main folder which was selected. In other words, the program correctly exports to the chosen place but Library mode shows it incorrectly in the folder it originated from.  If I then select the main folder and choose "Synchronize folder", LR finds the missing photo in the main folder but then imports it into the subfolder Imports. In fact, can repeat that over and over and Library adds the photo to the subfolder everytime the Sync is done.  However, in windows Explorer, nothing has changed and all photos are as they should be.  I've repeated this on a different catalog so am sure its a bug and not a problem with the catalog.

Anyone else having Export/Library problems similar to this?

Updated...I've now figured out that the problem I described above only happens when exporting jpgs.  If I export a raw file Library mode shows it correctly as a jpg in the folder I select, but if I export a jpg file, it shows it in the original folder it came from rather than the folder I chose (even though Explorer shows it was created in the correct folder).

Hi, I have the same problem: exporting a jpg from a subfolder to its parent folder, then syncing the parent folder shows the photo in the subfolder instead of the parent folder. In windows explorer the photos are in their correct places.

Seems to be a bug in the new Lightroom classic, as the described process worked correctly in the previous Lightroom version (CC 2015).
