When I am editing my photos after awhile of editing 2 things will happen. One is that the Adjustment knobs on any setting will slide but wont change anything on the photo. Or what will happen is the edits are made but it exports it without the edits. And it's really weird and odd to work with. The second issue is the photo will just turn black. It just decides to turn into a black square. This is super irritating I haven't changed any settings or done anything different please help I actually can't get any work done!!!!!!!

I attached a photo showing you this very weird issue. you can see that in the top left photo it's got blue on the bike. However in the main photo area it's purple. I want it to be purple but it doesn't export the purple one. It exports the blue one?????

Try resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic:  How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/preference-file-and-other-file-locations.html

If this doesn't help, you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html

If it's help see here Troubleshoot GPU issues | Lightroom Classic (adobe.com) and check the different steps.

If this doesn't help we need more informations about your environment.
