Exporting watermark issue

Question

Hiya. I'm adding text watermarks to my finished edits and adjusting them each time to blend subtly in each photo. When I get it just right and then click done to preview the export, the opacity I've configured changes every time. To compensate, I often take a guess at much lower than needed- sometimes it's invisible to me- and that gives me a watermark that's good enough when it does its own thing afterwards! What's going on here? I'd totally much rather use this feature functioning properly; is there something I can do, or is this a bug? Thanks!

Hi @43574563_Warren3010, that's not ideal! Let's try to figure out what's going on here. This can be due to settings like "Blend RGB Colors Using Gamma" being turned on or off. To help you better with this issue, we need a few more details.

Issue - a short description of the problem.
Steps to reproduce - a numbered list of the exact steps needed to replicate the issue.
Expected result - what should happen after executing the last step.
Actual result - what actually occurred after the previous step.
Adobe Photoshop version.
Operating System - specify Windows or macOS, along with the version.
