External hardrive with photos lost

I no longer have the external hardrive where my photos were stored. I see the photos in my catalog but since i don't have the hardrive i can't do anything. I may still have the photos on the sd card is there a way to connect the catalog to the new location of the files so I still have all the edits?

Get another external hard drive, set up a folder hierarchy that matches the old drive, then copy the images from the SD card to their respective folders. Finally, give the new hard drive the same name as the old one.

Alternatively, create the folders on an existing drive, then right click each folder in LrC to point it to the new location.
