Facebook changing low resolution images

Question

I have been uploading images to my photography page in facebook. . I exported the images from lightroom as low resolution and watermarked. I exported JPEG, sRGB, I CHECKED Resize To Fit. I CHECKED Don't Enlarge. I set 2048 pixels and resolution 72 Sharpen for matte, standard.

I want the images to be low resolution for potential clients to view and possibly purchase.

I notice when the images are being uploaded that facebook states "Uploading in high resolution"

Does anyone know if I should change my exporting settings or can do something to stop facebook uploading in high resolution.

I am fairly new to this and trying to navigate my way around lightroom and facebook.

Any help would be appreciated.

What you are doing will allow customers to view and download 2048 pixel (Long Edge) photos. Facebook considers this photo size "high resolution." It is also the maximum size image you can upload to Facebook without it being resized, which will lower the quality.

If this isn't what you want you'll need to turn off 'Upload HD' in your Facebook settings (see below). You'll also need to change you LR Export 'Resize to Fit' setting to Long Edge 960 pixels, which is the maximum size for non-HD uploads.
