Question

Failed to find a place for the imported file

  • Suddenly unable to import DNG files edited in Topaz, where this was previously successful
  • Reinstalling topaz does not fix
  • Importing DNGs without Topaz editing works fine
  • Import adds images, rather than move or copy (see screenshot for settings)
  • Import utility fails to generate a preview for the Topaz edited file
  • Same import error occurs if using Topaz from within lightroomCC (File > plugins > topaz) for previously imported DNGs

Would be super grateful for help!

What happens if you roll back to an earlier version of Topaz?

The previous version of this error was solved by changing drives in the Destination panel.

I noticed from your third screenshot that the photos are in Google Drive. That may be the problem. There are several reports about incompatibilities between Lightroom Classic and Google Drive, so I would start by trying this with a photo that is not in any synced folder.

Thanks for that idea. This didn't fix the issue
