I had an issue with my pc and restored it to the last time it was possible this morning.

Now I can't open my lightroom catalog and I keep getting this message.

I tried this solution that didn't help
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/failure-in-opening-catalog.html

What else can I do?

What's the exact message?

Try resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic first:  How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/preference-file-and-other-file-locations.html

If this doesn't help, you can try the following:

Hold the Ctrl-Key while starting LrC. This opens a catalog selection dialog.

First select the appropriate recent catalog and let it check it – note the checkmark "Test integrity of this catalog" to check its integrity. If that doesn't help you have two options:

  1. Restore the catalog from the latest backup. Disaster strikes - a corrupted catalog! | The Lightroom Queen
  2. Create a new catalog and try to import your current catalog into the new one.

I am having the exact same problem on my Windows 11 machine. Had to do a Windows 11 reset. I get the same error message. Followed instructions to delete the CURRENT folder. Have rebooted PC. Have tried running LR Classic as Administrator, have tried your <Ctrl> key trick. Problem is that every time I close the error dialog box, LR Classic crashes.

Please be more specific. Which error dialog you close? What error message do you get?

Do you get a message during LR crashes?

What you have done before the error occur?

Is your system up-to-date? Do you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system and the device drivers, especially the graphic driver. If you have a NVidia graphic card installed, make sure that you are using the recent Studio version of the driver, not the Game Ready version.
