Files not found

I have all my photos in an external drive. I loaded them into LR Classic. When I go to work on them it says the folder could not be found? I am using the same computer I downloaded the photos from. What am I doing wrong?

Assuming the images are still on the external hard drive and you haven't rename the parent folder then fixing the issue should be relatively simple. Have a look at Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders

I looked at the website you suggested. I can see this is going to take awhile. However, I do not show any question marks or exclamations marks. I'm thinking of just trying to start all over. This is too frustrating.
