Filter by Top Level Keywords?

Is it possible to filter and find all the images that have a top-level keyword - let me explain

If I have a keyword hierarchy along the lines of

UNITED KINGDOM
       ENGLAND
             Yorkshire
                   Leeds
                   York
              Cornwall
              Dorset

WALES
Powys

SCOTLAND
Ayrshire

How can filter those images tagged ENGLAND, but are not in any of the sub categories?

What if I wanted those tagged Yorkshire – but not in any of the sub categories ?

@brianp49895668 It really bugs me (sorry about the pun), that Adobe have yet to fix this issue that their sloppy programming created in the first place. I’m not holding my breath for a fix anytime soon.

I think it’s very unlikely the bug will ever be fixed -- it’s been present since the very first version of Windows LR:

@brianp49895668 his only works for keywords in around the first ½ of the alphabet - because the known bug that’s been in lightroom from the very beginning - and which Adobe are deaf to comes into play - that bug limits the number of keywords that can be displayed in the drop-down list, so when I switch to FLAT, the list becomes too long and I cant see beyond P.

That’s one of several reasons I switched to Mac. A workaround is to use the Any Filter plugin’s Search command:
