Find Missing Pictures

I had to reload all Abobe programs on a new computer. I did it after I reloaded all my image files.Adobe found my Lightroom catelog and update it. Yahoo! Then I opened Lightroom and every image was missinjg, that was about 37,000-some images.

I've run find missing pictures multiple times and now it is down to 8,400-some pictures and it stuck at that number. When I go to re-import the missing files into Lightroom, it tells me that I've already imported those files. But they they still show up as missing in the Library mode. I have no thumbnail of them.

I guess I need to reimport them even tho Lightroom is letting me they are already imported into my catelog. This will be a royal pain as the 8,400 images are scattered over many folders and I only want to reimport those that errantly show as missing. Is there a better solution?

I'm using the most up to date Apple OS and the most up to date version of Lightroom.
