Fix paste so other values stay the same

Sorry for the delayed follow-up. What you’re describing with Auto settings, particularly some selected photos further down the selection, not retaining the adjustments, matches an issue we’re already investigating,

Lightroom Classic 15.6 has also been released since your last reply. When you have a chance, could you update to 15.6 and let us know whether you’re still seeing both behaviors:

1. Auto settings failing/resetting on some photos in a large selection.
2. Copying and pasting only selected settings, changing other, unselected settings back to their defaults.

In particular, if the Copy/Paste issue still occurs, please let us know which settings you selected to copy and which unselected settings were reset to 0. That will help us investigate that behavior separately rather than assuming both symptoms have the same cause.

If you’re doing so many at once, it might be worth using “Sync Settings...” instead of Copy/Paste, to see if the performance is better.

What process are you using to copy/paste the settings? From the Library view, you can choose Photo > Develop Settings > Copy Settings, and then choose what settings to copy. When you move to another Photo and choose Photo > Develop Settings > Paste, only the specific settings you copied get pasted, and all other settings in the target photo are not adjusted at all from their current value.

I’ve just confirmed that this works as expected in the latest v15.5.1 of Lightroom Classic. Here in this example I’m copying just the Clarity and Dehaze settings, and when I paste, for instance, the exposure and color balance settings are not adjusted:
