    Thanks for your help.

Catalina 10.15.4,  Plenty of free space on ext drive, a little less than 3T out of 4T drive.  Lightroom Classic 9.2.1.
Does your computer user profile have administrative level permissions?
How do I look for this?  Sorry, I am a little slow when it comes to some of this stuff…

Can you make a suitable folder using Finder?

Yes, I can make the folder in Finder but it doesn't show up in Lightroom.

This sounds more like a computer problem than an Adobe problem, don't you think?

    • Which OS and file manager are you using to create the new folder?
    • How much free space is on that drive?
    • Does your computer user profile have administrative level permissions?
