Folders missing in Lightroom Classic after upgrading to 14.2

In October of 2024 I upgraded to Lightroom 14.2. After the download/install 7 folders went missing and I can't seem to find them. These folder represented 15,000 images taken in Sept. and October 2024 that took a month to edit and cull down to 3000. Does anyone have suggestions on how to locate these folders short of calling Adobe customer service for help. The thought of having to download and edit these images again is depressing me a great deal.

So you look in your catalog in LrC and these 7 folders are not present? Try searching (using the Search Bar in LrC) for one of the photos in these folders, by following ALL FOUR of these steps:

  1. Click on All Photographs
  2. Turn off Filters
  3. Expand all stacks (right click on a photo, select Stacking->Expand All Stacks)
  4. Search by file name in the filter bar for one of the photos in these 7 folders

Do you find the photo this way?

Hey, @William_Dutton5727. Welcome to the Lightroom Classic Community. I'll help you figure this out. Where do you keep your Lightroom Catalog? Is it on the internal drive or an external drive?

Lightroom may have lost track of the specific catalog you were working on. You can list all the catalogs on your computer using Finder's Spotlight search, type in .lrcat, and arrange the results by modified date to find the recent catalog you were working on before Lightroom updated.

Let me know if this helps.
