Question

Folders not reporting qty of pictures in them

Hi,

After the upgrade to 8.4, my folders are not reporting how many pictures they have. The pictures are there and they can be accessed. Does anybody know what's happening here? Thanks in advance.

Are you using a NAS or similar network drive. On Windows it may not be mapped to a drive letter. I suggest you follow this similar thread and wait for Adobe Engineers to look into the issue.

I do not think is because of a NAS not mapped. 8.3.1 was reporting it and I'm using the same NAS.

Thanks for pointing me to the other thread.

Folder Enumeration was changed in Lr Classic 8.4 and one of the issues that arose from the change was as you describe. Please see the info provided by Richard Dondrovic in the thread linked to by 99jon above

Yes it is because your images are on a NAS and you haven't Mapped that NAS as a Drive letter. And a slight bug in LR.

Also check that you have the option to Show Photos in Subfolders turned on, Enabled.
