Freezing and not saving edits

Question

Light room has been my go to for several years. The only thing im so bummed about the constant freezing and not saving my edited pictures like the time I put on them and i have to re- edit whats going on light room?

Lightroom (Lr icon) or Lightroom Classic (LrC icon)?

Please explain the problem in more detail. What are the steps you are trying immediately before the freeze? What freezes? Is it Lightroom Classic that freezes or is it the whole computer that freezes? The more you explain, and the more detail you provide, the better chances we will have of figuring out a solution.
