FTP upload web galleries fail

Using the standard FTP upload fails since upgrading from LR6 to Classic. Messages such as xxxx.com/LRGalleries/yyyy/assets/css and

An error occurred sending the file : a response was not received in time appear.

I've tried various different templates. Also exporting the gallery and uploading with a FTP client failed.

I could indeed see the upload, however it was incomplete due to the timeout issue.

The only but frequently occurring log message on the server was:

FAIL MKDIR: Client "xxx.xx.x.xx", "/www/harschnitz.nl/LRGalleries/bame of gallery/assets/css"

I also notice a file in the FTP transferred files that is not in the original gallery nor in earlier and successfully FTP'd galleries with LR 6

This file is:  .DS_Store

Problem circumvented as follows: instead of direct FTP from Lightroom I exported the gallery to my Mac. Subsequently the gallery was uploaded with the ClassicFTP app to the website. To be sure I manually removed the .DS_Store files added by the HighSierra OS.

The FTP upload has been working for me in Classic but there are problems with the Square, Track and Grid galleries in High Sierra.

Hi Bob,

I indeed use a Mac with High Sierra vs 10.13.1  I've tried a number of galleries including HTML versions, all without success.

I just did a test upload using the HTML gallery to my hosting site and it worked fine.  Who is your hosting service?  Maybe something has changed there.
