The latest screenshots from “Lightroom Queen” talk about Generative Expand in Lightroom Classic and new “Flatten AI Edits” options in LRC.

I’m not seeing any of this in the 15.5 release. Maybe this information was not intended for public release? It is causing confusion among Lightroom Classic users.

To quote the linked article directly (emphasis mine):

Generative Expand has arrived on Lightroom Desktop (not Classic) and iPhone!

The Lightroom Queen uses “Lightroom Desktop” to refer to the newer cloud-based Lightroom, and not to Lightroom Classic, so yes, the article is correct in noting that the newer cloud-based Lightroom, but not Classic, has the Generative Expand feature.

Lightroom Classic supports the “Flatten AI Edits” option, even though it doesn’t have Generative Expand. Victoria explains in the comments section:

Flatten AI Edits is in Classic in order to support Generative Expand edits, as you might have used it in Camera Raw or Lightroom Desktop/iPhone. Generative Expand hasn’t made it into Classic yet, but will hopefully arrive at some point. Each team has its own priorities, so sometimes features don’t make it into all versions at the same time.

    Hope that clarifies things.

My post was in reference to the screenshot captioned “Lightroom Classic” which is showing the Lightroom Classic UI interface:
