Graphics glitches on MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1 on Apple Silicon using Full graphics acceleration

Issue: Graphics glitches

Lightroom Classic version: 13.5.1 [ 202408271704-d15d09cd ]
MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1
Apple Silicon M3 Max

Issue: Graphics glitches whilst using LR in develop and library whilst Full Graphics Acceleration is enabled.
Step 1 Goto Performance > Enable 'Use GPU for image processing (Process version 5 or higher)'.
Step 2 Navigate the Library and start editing pictures and graphics glitches begin to apppear.

Expected result: No graphics glitches
Actual result: Glitches appear within the edited file but also randomly in various elements of the LR interface, sometimes even in the menu bar of the OS. Sometimes the system will crash, reboot and log back in with a crash report ready to send to Apple.

A WORK AROUND is to ENABLE 'Use GPU for Display' but DISABLE 'Use GPU for image processing (Process version 5 or higher)', no more graphics glitches and LRC can be used to edit images without any issues.

First few lines of the Apple Report:
panic(cpu 7 caller 0xfffffe0023d78a3c): "AGXSecureGart::unmap Timed out waiting for FW to process secure unmap after 150000041 ns" @agxk_fwc_arm.cpp:5185
Debugger message: panic
Memory ID: 0x6
OS release type: User
OS version: 24A348
Kernel version: Darwin Kernel Version 24.0.0: Tue Sep 24 23:35:10 PDT 2024; root:xnu-11215.1.12~1/RELEASE_ARM64_T6031

This seems to be a common issue with new macOS updates and Adobe software. I’d suggest reaching out to Adobe Support directly, as they may have specific troubleshooting steps or a patch in the works for Sequoia compatibility. In the meantime, you could also try resetting Lightroom’s preferences or creating a new user account on your Mac to test if the issue is system-wide or isolated to your current setup. Hope this helps!

It sounds like the graphics glitches you're experiencing on macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 might be related to compatibility issues with Lightroom Classic and the new OS version. Since Apple Silicon and full graphics acceleration are involved, I’d recommend checking for updates to both Lightroom Classic and your macOS. Adobe often releases patches for new OS versions. If the issue persists, try disabling full graphics acceleration temporarily in Lightroom preferences to see if that resolves the glitches.

Just wanted to revisit my post to say after updating to LRC 14 using Camera Raw 17 running on MacOS 15.0.1, the graphics glitches seems to still be there.

@Hautecouture  Please start a new thread and describe exactly what you're seeing. If possible provide a screenshot displaying the issue. It would also be helpful if you included a copy of your System Info. You can obtain this from the application Help > System Info menu item.
