Question

Green boxes around healed and cloned areas

Hi all,

I've recently been running into the issue of having green boxes around areas I've cloned and healed. It's like pixilated green squares. I'm using a 2023 MacBook Pro. I've updated both Lightroom Classic and software updates. I've never had this issue before. I've tried turning on and off the GPU option in preferences and restarting my computer. I work with smart previews and not off a hard drive. I've also tried freeing up some memory space. Everything I have tried so far isn't a fix. What could the issue be?

Are you converting these files to Lossy DNG?

No I don't. Here are my export settings.

I am asking about the originals - not the exported version. What is the file type of the original? Can you post one here for us to review?

Hi there, a couple questions for you. What file type are you editing? Do the squares show up when you export? Just trying to see if it's a UI bug or something else.

Hi,

I'm editing smart previews that are originally CR3 files. Yes, the squares show up when I export the photos, wether I export one photo at a time or as a whole gallery. The rest of my computer is completely okay. When I run Safari or even IMovie etc. I don't have issues. What does UI stand for?

Thanks!

UI stands for User Interface, so just what is being displayed.

Have you changed any of your default setting for Lightroom by chance?
