Hanging LR

My LR takes about 20 constant clicks to get it to open. Then, if it does finally open, I have to endure constant crap about 'Mobile Sign In'.  Once past that I wait for LR to settle down.... then, I begin the initial attempt to import.  This will fail every initial attempt.  EVERY. INITIAL.  ATTEMPT.  I then have to force it to close.  Then I begin my second attempt to open LR.  This will always take some time.  Then, and only then, will it import.  It's a lengthy, amateurish process which I'm paying monthly for.  Maybe I should have got a pirate to get me a version that works?  What gives?  I expect better from Adobe.

Well, honestly, if you are saying that it takes 20 clicks to launch LR, this is an operating system problem or perhaps some other software is interfering (or a hardware problem), and doesn't have anything to do with LR. There's something interfering with the normal operation. My first guess is to try (temporarily) turning off your virus checker and firewall to see if that improves the situation. But I emphasize the word "guess". These things are hard to diagnose in person, let alone across the internet.

I agree. I'll look at the OS then and maybe re-install windows.

    Cheers for the help.

Updates done.  No change, same old rubbish.  Re-install?

Give us some details. What operating system? What version NUMBER of Lightroom? What error messages do you get?

And why do you think a pirate version wouldn't have this problem? (Pointless question, don't bother answering).
