Having trouble reinstalling Lightroom 6.0

My computer crashed, and I had to reinstall Lightroom 6.0, but it gets to the adobe id sign in required screen and won't let me pass that screen despite actually signing in.  I tried to get an agent online to help, but they seem unwilling because the product is no longer supported.  I am not asking for any updates to this product.  I still physically have the CD and I haven't upgraded my windows.  I should be able to reinstall a product I physically purchased.  Please advise whether there are other ways to activate the product.  Thank you
